IKEA: Brilliant, yet so simple.

BFG Communications tweeted this and brought it to my attention. 

Social media continues to blow my mind. This time it was IKEA's simple concept that did the trick to promote IKEA's newest store in Malmo.

They took an existing tool, Facebook, and created a profile for Malmo's store manager. They then uploaded photos of IKEA showrooms, first person to tag themselves on a product within the room won! Mutually beneficial for all parties. Fans got a chance to win some awesome IKEA products and IKEA got to borrow people and their Facebook pages to promote their products. Free promotion!
